Fat Grafting

Fat cell taken from your own body may be used to fill facial wrinkles, minor deformities under the lower eyelids and for lip enlargement. Fat grafting or fat transfer to the face is safe and provides an opportunity to re-contour facial areas by providing definition to your cheeks and chin; it may also be used to correct facial deformities. Fat is most commonly suctioned from donor thighs or abdomen, and transferred to any area of your body. The initial injection is retained for five to six months, after which nearly 45-65% is reabsorbed. The remaining fat cells may also be absorbed over several months to years depending in part, on the location of injection; in some people there is no absorption of the remaining fat cells so that the effect lasts much longer.
