Brow Lift

To prepare for a brow lift, your hair is tied back with rubber bands in front of and behind the incision area. Incision(s) are placed behind the hairline.

Skin on your forehead is gently lifted, tissue and excess skin are removed or altered. Stitches or clips are used to close the incisions and fixate the brow.
A brow lift corrects drooping of the brows and also improves the aesthetics of the upper eyelids. A brow lift can also minimize creases that develop across the forehead or those that develop between the eyes, giving you a more youthful look.
Who can benefit from a brow lift in Beverly Hills?
Brow lifts can benefit those looking for a repositioning of the brow and a raising of eyebrows to a more youthful position. If you exhibit the following conditions, you may be a good candidate:
- Descended brows
- Horizontal lines across the forehead
- Vertical creases between the eyebrows ( frown lines)
How is a brow lift done?
In some patients the redundancy of the upper eyelid skin is secondary to the descent of the eyebrows, in which case an endoscopic brow lift is the solution to the problem.
The procedure is performed through very small and hidden incisions on the scalp. Either the entire brow or specific parts of it may be raised depending on the desired look. Endoscopic brow lift is done either alone or in combination with upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) or a face lift.
Dr. Aboolian performs most of his surgeries at the Multispecialty Surgical Group operating room, which is located next to his office in Beverly Hills.
What to Expect After Your Brow Lift
After a brow lift, you will have some swelling and bruising in the forehead area for approximately ten days following surgery. If sutures or staples were used, they will be removed during this time period.
Post-operatively, patients recover in our comfortable recovery room under the supervision of nurses and anesthesiologists. Most patients are discharged home after their operation with detailed instructions. For those with major surgery or multiple surgeries, or those requesting further care after discharge from the recovery room, there are private duty nurses to help you through a safe and comfortable recovery.
For out of town patients, Dr. Aboolian has access to some private overnight recovery facilities in Southern California that are specially trained to provide you with the best and the most conscientious nursing care.
After the recovery period, you can expect their brow and upper face to be smoother, and age-related imperfections such as frown lines and forehead creases will be significantly reduced after brow lift surgery.
